Shayla has a passion for working with individuals who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and/or those from varied cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. Shayla recognizes the importance of representation as a key component of empowerment, and works with clients to foster understanding and celebration of their diverse experiences and identities.

Most individuals who work with Shayla experience identity questions, internalized or externalized prejudice, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. Shayla meets folks where they are at and empowers them to draw on their inner strengths as they move towards radical self-acceptance and realignment with their values. Shayla draws on skills from various therapeutic approaches to best fit the unique needs of each client.
